Flexiform has completed the design, supply, manufacture and installation of a range of office furniture for the Insolvency Services’ offices in the North of England. This client faced a common issue; their office environment was still configured for a pre-covid era. Post Covid, staff were no longer in the office on a full-time basis and the office design was no longer able to meet their new agile work patterns.
With hybrid working, a new office design was designed to embrace a Smart Working ethic; an office with a less set structure, fewer desks and more collaboration furniture. Flexiform created a Smart Working office environment by installing a mixture of open, semi-private and private meeting spaces of different sizes and styles with acoustic solutions to minimise noise transference for focused work.
Collaborative Office Furniture
To create an open-plan collaboration space to accommodate 8-10 users, we installed our distinctive Channel Work Table featuring integral lighting and charging points, teamed up with a mobile whiteboard, ergonomic task chairs and suspended acoustic panels to divide the space and absorb excess sound. This workspace is ideal for group work, idea sharing and presentations.
For semi-private or private meeting spaces, we installed a number of acoustic meeting pods/booths which help divide space and once again absorb sound. The pods were installed with and without glass doors for additional privacy and featured integral tables, seating and lighting to accommodate 1 or 2 people, making these “pods” private and suitable for phone calls, solo working or 1-2-1 meetings.
Flexiform supplied a number of height-adjustable electric desks with monitor arms suitable for laptops and ergonomically designed task chairs to maximise comfort. “It was a pleasure to work with the Insolvency Service to transform the workspace from a traditional to a modern and agile working environment” – Lucie Carr
