Special Services
Leeds City Council were looking to centralise several core services into a limited amount of buildings, in order to streamline communication, meeting facilities, and travel requirements. These locations include Civic Hall, Tribeca House, Kernel House and St George’s House. Kernel House was procured after consultations with Flexiform to determine if the space could accommodate the entire workforce of approximately 210 staff, working across 170 pico desks and hot-desking facilities. All sites required meeting rooms, breakout areas, general office space, and storage – all provided in the same finishes to create a uniformed style. At various sites, we were required to work around existing partitions and furniture.
Bespoke Services
Flexiform created a standardised product catalogue for Leeds City Council, which helped create a uniformed style throughout the different buildings. This catalogue was made available online allowing facilities staff to order top-up orders directly online through a secure portal.
These products were flexible and designed to adapt to different rooms and layouts, creating flexibility for the future as the Council’s working practices and workforce adapts and grows. Flexiform provided advice on room layouts using our in-house space planning teams, who maximised the space available and provided various bespoke options for consideration including bespoke receptions. We offered a variety of options, which Leeds City Council narrowed down to a purpose-built reception to fit the space available. With our in-house design and engineering team and UK manufacturing plant, we created bespoke Freestor lockers with a bank of six lockers and two large storage drawers.
