Government Office Furniture Installation

Continuing from successful large-scale projects with this Government client, Flexiform has completed a new multi-organisational office design and installation fit-out providing accommodation for two organisations within the same building.

Working with our in-house office design teams, we created open-plan workspaces, breakout areas, formal meeting rooms and collaboration spaces across 3 floors. Wishing for a new colour palette from their standard product portfolio, our interior designers created three colour schemes; fresh citrus, autumnal and candy with moodboards and visuals for the clients to choose from. Opting for a citrus colour palette, the new colours brought a fresh and bright interior to suit both organisations’ needs. The clients were thrilled with the results with positive feedback from staff.

Ventilated staff lockers for gyms and offices

Office Storage Solutions

Throughout the office, we installed a multitude of high-capacity office storage units including side filer 4 drawer storage, tambour storage units and combination storage – offering drawer and cupboard storage in one footprint. The storage units were calculated by our in-house office storage specialist, analysing the organisation and departmental needs to provide the right type of storage and internal components.

In addition to filing storage, we installed 3 types of lockers; cycle lockers, personal storage lockers and staff storage lockers at the end of desks. The personal storage and cycle lockers featured ventilation, combination and electronic locks and sloping tops (to stop anyone from storing items on top of the locker), providing fresh storage to store personal belongings such as cycling gear, coats and shoes. Freestor Accent lockers were supplied for end-of-desk equipment and file storage, fitted with keypad locks for additional security, plus drop holes to allow secure delivery of personal mail and files. Each locker was assigned to an individual user and featured a label holder to clearly signpost the locker owner.

Collaboration & Meeting Spaces

Numerous collaboration and meeting spaces were installed throughout the office, including radial corner modular sofas to fit perfectly into alcoves and high-back armchairs. Due to the nature of their work, most meeting spaces needed to be confidential. A large-scale meeting room featuring stacking chairs and flip-top tables created a reconfigurable boardroom, training and meeting space. This was finished with full-height window manifestations to create privacy.

Bespoke-sized office pods were installed to create multiple managerial offices, featuring L-shaped workstation desks, drawer storage and small 4-person meeting set-ups. This allowed for a variety of private set-ups without building walls.

Open Plan Office & Breakout Spaces

Within the open-plan office, Pico modular bench desks and Jot-Up Lite sit-stand desks create the perfect ergonomic set-up for task based working. Kitted out with on-desk electrics, desk privacy screens and adjustable task chairs.

Throughout the office, staff breakout spaces were fitted with One-Shot and Melita stacking chairs and Additions pedestal base tables to create traditional dining spaces. Matching stools and Parq poseur height tables were installed for a bar-style set-up with low back office sofas and coffee tables creating soft seating areas. To create a quieter and warmer feel, acoustic fabric back panels were added to surrounding lockers and storage areas, softening the space. Together the client was delighted with the results, and we look forward to collaborating on future projects.
